I've thought about that a lot over the years and it seems to ring truer every passing year as we get so out of touch with ourselves and the natural rhythmms of life. I'm often frustrated in what I find about Buddhism on the internet, but apparently it's just as much an issue for an "expert" as a novice. I'm interested in Zen, but in terms of general reading on Buddhism for someone with only the most basic understanding what might you recommend? It'd be nice to have something as central as the bible to work with, but I think that "unity" has caused plenty of problems in Christianity. ;) Where does one even begin?
