Snow in April?

If there’s any proof that global warming is screwing up the global climate, I think I’ve seen enough. It’s April 19th, and we’ve had snow and hail for two days here in Seattle. Last weekend was really nice and warm, but this weekend, it’s been a constant, hourly switch between sunny weather, then hail, then sunny weather again. Yesterday afternoon snowed hard for about an hour, and even stuck (the snow melted by morning).
I can’t wait to see what climate weirdness my grandkids have to deal with in their time…

Update: After this post, we had one more day of sun/snow/hail before it finally stopped. Weird, weird, weird.

Snow in April? That is just crazy..
My family called me this morning from Seattle and told me and I couldn’t believe it.
I used to live there and in the 32 yrs I lived up there, I cannot recall a time in April that it snowed..
Thursday here in Texas we had marble/dime size hail and we almost lost a window, it was crazy…

My aunt who lives in Richmond, sent me a picture the other from WSDOT. I couldn’t believe the amount of snow you had!!!
Last week, our weather was about 90 degrees. I’d be surprised if it hit 60 degrees today.
Taz: Welcome to the L8B! I was actually thinking of Texas when I saw the hail, because I know you guys get it really big, compared to here. The hail here was pretty small, but it was unusual for us. I’m a Seattle-native, more or less, and I definitely have never seen snow in April. Weird stuff.
Jeannie: I live close to Richmond (closer to Seattle-proper), so I bet your aunt saw the same stuff I did. My wife by the way is really jealous of the weather you’re having.
Please tell your wife our heatwave is long gone and we’re not expecting back anytime soon.
