Alright. Looks like you've tried many materials and methods. Believing yourself as ぜったい落ちない！ has a maximum effect when you actually take the exam. I'm into autohypnosis and self-enlightenment. Recent study shows your brain works according to what you believe even though they are not always true. In other words, you can fool your brain by giving yourself applause. My brain has been fooled for many years, and it must have figured out some things are not true by now ;-) After I posted my comment, I read your “similar post in English” which gave me more background of your Japanese study. Preferably record the news so that you can listen as many as you wish. 2) Read the same article in the paper. 1) will make you focus on listening. Guess the meaning and spelling. Then, 2), you check your answers and expand your vocabulary. This was way back before the internet became popular. I think that patience and practice will be the key to understanding what you hear. I think I suggested this once before, but why don't you spend a day communicating with your wife in only Japanese??
