The trick is not get upset about it, especially with yourself, and allow yourself to have that down time. As long as it doesn't become a habit as ロバート said. I've been out of steam myself because I just got done with a move, though still have a lot of settling in to do, and it's killed my Japanese studying. Hopefully once I get more settled in I can get back on track. It's funny how moving boxes drains you not only physically, but mentally. Everybody runs out of steam at some point. Don't let not studying become a habit. If you only have 15 mins to spare, iknow.fm or readthekanji.com are two good sites for learning vocabulary and sentences. Both have interesting methods of showing your progress and both have more objective ways of assessing your knowledge than Anki. Hang in there, it's a long time until December. 頑張って!
