Update and change in blog schedule

Just wanted to let folks know that I am trying an experiment with the blog’s lineup that will take effect starting next week. For a long time on the blog, probably since its inception or close to it, I made a tradition of making the Sunday posts usually the religious focused ones, with other posts covering other subjects. Also, I tend to move between three and four days a week, with Sunday as a constant.
I decided that this isn’t quite working for me for a few reasons. Nothing drastic, just not how I want to run the blog.
So I decided to focus on writing posts on weekdays Monday, Wednesday and Friday instead. In a perfect world, I would write five days a week, but my schedule is extremely demanding some weeks, and I come close to not getting things out sometimes, while other weeks, I have a burst of inspiration that sustains for a couple of weeks. If I could keep up five posts a week I would, as I enjoy it, and I hope you find the content enjoyable as well. One idea was to try writing smaller posts which would allow more constant content, but some times I have a lot more I want to say, so I don’t know if that will work. I’d love to hear feedback from people about what’s preferable: shorter, more frequent posts or less frequent more “quality” posts.
Anyhow, for now I’ll start with Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I thought though it would be fun to still have something for the weekends, like a fun filler or something. The inspiration comes from the excellent and venerable webcomic Sluggy Freelance which has rotated through different “filler” formats over the years. For starters, I thought I’d try posting poems from the Hyakunin Isshu that fit the mood of the weekend, or just fun photos as things come up. The focus will be on weekdays, but I’d like to still have something for the weekend too. Comments and feedback always appreciated.
So, I’ll try this out for a few weeks and see if it works (and is sustainable during more hectic weeks).
Thanks and take care!
