A quote from Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah, I felt like sharing again:*

He wanted to turn to the aides massed in the sietch entrance, shout at them: if you need something to worship, then worship life — all life, every last crawling bit of it! We’re all in this beauty together!
Given our propensity to worship only those we see as better than ourselves, or those whom we can benefit from, I found this rather profound.
