I just felt like posting a few pictures my daugther made:
This drawing is something she made a couple months ago. It is hanging on my wall at work. She is eating a strawberry with her friend and they’re talking in Japanese about how good the strawberry is (おいしいね?”It’s good isn’t it?” ほんとうだね。”It really is”). Outside the window is an angel she told me.
The other drawing I wanted to show was on my Father’s Day card:
This one was taken with Instagram, so it has a filter on it. Anyhow, that’s my daughter in the middle, my wife on the left, and myself on the right (of course). I like her long hair. In real life, she really does have long hair that goes to her hips, and she often tells us she wants to grow it even longer. I guess many little girls have a “long hair” phase.
Speaking of Father’s Day, her teacher asked her what was the best thing about Dad and she said:
Sitting on his lap, eating breakfast and playing with him are the best.
Lastly, here’s a drawing she made for Mother’s Day (her name is blacked-out at the top):
This is a picture of us all playing on a slide. I’m on the left holding a card that says “I Love You” and my daughter is holding a Japanese card that says the same thing “だいすき”. My wife is climbing the stairs on the right.
Anyhow, that’s about it. Enjoy!
Aww, that is precious. I love the bilingual image with mother and father holding cards in English and Japanese. I also think your daughter has done a great job capturing your likeness – the glasses, hair, and facial hair are spot on. LOL
It’s so true. It really looks like me. As for the bilingual skills we hope she can keep those up for the rest of her life.
What a precious work. They are so cute.
Thank you.
